Eligibility for Grants
All grants have restrictions that can be based on:

  • Company Size
  • Geographic Location
  • Paperwork

Listed below are a few of the Grants that may be available to your Company but it is suggested that you make contact with the Alliance to discuss in more detail your requirements

 


Gateway to Business

Grants of up to £20,000 are available to new or existing SMEs in the Urban 2 (built up) area of Halifax to make physical improvements to their premises including new build. SMEs eligible for support must contribute something new or different to the economy of Action Halifax area.

Halifax Works Business Support,a service to local businesses offering assistance with recruitment and training costs. If you are looking to train new or existing staff, you could be eligible for a training bursary or longer term funding support through their Adult Apprenticeship scheme.They can contribute up to a maximum of 80% of training costs,you choose the training supplier, they assist with the payment.

The following criteria apply for the award of the Grant:

The Company must be in the Urban area.

The Employee must be a Calderdale resident.

The Employee must be of employment age.

The Training has to be recognised and accredited.

Don't let rising taxes and energy costs continue to erode your bottom line.Use a capital grant (up to £10,000) to make your equipment more efficient and lower your energy and waste bills.

The grant can be used towards capital purchases to make your business more energy and waste efficient. The scope for how the capital grant can be used is wide-ranging-use it wisely to deliver significant financial savings.

The capital grant is available to businesses located in the Yorkshire and Humber region.
